carved in the Northern Wei-style with the head and torso of a Bodhisattva, wearing a hat and layered drapes clasped at the shoulders, the remains of a foliate clasp visible at the waist, the right hand held to the chest -- 23½in. (59.5cm.) high, on a rectangular metal stand.
