Three Ming bowls, Wanli (1573-1619)
comprising a large bowl painted to the inner roundel with a crane among flowering lotus plants below a band of ruyi-shaped panels interspersed with tasselled ribbons, the exterior glazed white -- 8.5in. (21.5 cm.) diam.; a similarly decorated smaller bowl -- 4.8in. (12.3 cm.) diam.; and a small bowl painted to the interior roundel with two ducks on a riverbank -- 4.7in. (12 cm.) diam. (3)
