A set of six Chinese Imari plates, Qianlong (1736-1795)
painted to the central roundel in iron-red, underglaze blue and gilt with a lady seated in a pavilion, another lady standing in the adjacent fenced garden, surrounded by a band of chrysanthemum-heads and floral cartouches reserved on a floral ground at the well, the rim painted with branches of prunus blossom -- 8.9in. (22.5 cm.) diam. (6)
