A pair of Chinese famille verte bottle vases, 19th century
each of globular form rising to the tall waisted neck with a compressed globular section surmounted by an inverted rounded rim, enamelled with ladies in a veranda watching a battle scene, the shoulders with cartouches enclosing auspicious emblems reserved on a floral diaper ground below the neck with ladies and scholars with their attendants amidst pine and rockwork, with a ruyi-head border below the rim -- 14 1/8in. (35.8cm.) high, lamped. (2)
