A pair of Chinese famille rose garden seats, 19th Century
of barrel form, the central panel of the body framed by an enamelled band of raised nodes and painted with two panels depicting couples of pheonix and peacocks amongst rockwork, peony blossoms and prunus, separated by twin pierced double-cash motifs on a pink and turquoise wan ground, a further single pierced cash motif to the seat top -- 18½in. (47cm.) high. (2)
