The rectangular top above a hinged flap, the lower edge with detachable book-rest, enclosing a fitted interior of pigeon-holes and drawers around a door above a well with sliding cover, above two short and two long drawers, on bracket feet, the sides with carrying-handles, the drawer handles replaced, the drawers lined in hardwood, possibly aramanth, the short drawer front replaced but with original veneer
