Cross-banded overall in rosewood and amaranth, the rectangular top enclosing a soundboard and ebony and ivory keyboard of four and a half octaves, on square tapering legs, headed by later metal paterae, on leather castors, the keyboard with oval panel inscibed 'Longman and Broderip Musical Instrument Makers No. 20 Cheapside and No. 43 Hay Market London', the marquetry re-engraved, with later front keyboard flap
