The present drawing is a study for the slave girl in the left hand side of The Queen of Sheba's visit to King Solomon, the finished design for which was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1891. The finished picture was exhibited privately at T. McLean's Gallery in 1890 and is now in the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
