Lot Essay

Christoph (Christopher?) Müller was born circa 1620 and is recorded as marrying in 1643 and having his own workshop that year also. He is known to have died after 1651 but Abeler references clocks by him believed to have been made as late as 1680. See Jürgen Abeler Meister Der Uhrmacherkunst, Düsseldorf, 1977, p.440.
