The case of typical form, the arched hood with pierced sound fret surmounted by giltwood figural finials, the brass dial with engraved border, cast brass seasonal spandrels (later) to the silvered arched chapter ring signed Hermelink Amsterdam (possibly later), foliate engraved centre with date aperture beneath, steel hands, the thirty-hour four pillar movement with anchor escapement, the alarm mounted to the side of the movement, with strike and alarm on bell above; three brass weights, pendulum
