Painted in purple camaieu with views of Spaarnedam aan het IJ, within a gilt cartouche flanked by putti holding a floral garland, the border with gilt interwined lines, with branch handle, the base inscribed in purple Spaaredam aan het Y te zien, the assembled cover with flowers and a rose finial (the body with minute chips to the interior of the rim, the cover with chips to the inner rim and to the finial extremities)
