In the Restauration style, the dark-blue-ground painted with various scenes depicting various fables of Jean de la Fontaine, inscribed in French underneath, within egg and dart borders, enhanced with trailing flower branches, the interior partly gilt, comprising: a baluster coffee pot and cover, with animal spout, 20.5 cm. high, a baluster milk jug, 20.3 cm. high, a two-handled sugar bowl and cover, a pedestal broth bowl, 21 cm. diam., twelve cups and saucers, an extra Paris gilt cup and saucer, with stripes and a scene of cattle, an extra Paris gilt cup and saucer, with matt-blue ground and trailing motifs (some wear to the enamels and minor rubbing to the gilding, two cups from the service with restored handle) (34)
