A German 'Adoration of the Magi' wood and silver-mounted portable tryptich

In the oil-painting-style, after an example in the 15th century style, the central rectangular panel with a Virgin enthroned holding the infant Christ and flanked by the Magi, the panel to the left with maidens, the panel to the right with knights, reserved on a gilt ogival-ground, with a screwed silver caption below dated 1837, 29 August 1887, the panels screwed with silver foliate hinges and lock to the exterior
The opened tryptich: 29 x 53.5 cm.
