The case of typical form, the hood surmounted by giltwood figural finials, the polychrome painted dial with engraved silvered chapter ring, matted centre with silvered subsidiary seconds ring with date aperture, sectors for month and day of week, ringed winding holes and painted rolling moonphase, painted steel hands, above a recessed panel surrounded by mythological figures and a baldachin, the background depicting a village scene with a Dutch windmill and with five rocking ships in the foreground, the two train eight-day movement with four pillars, anhcor escapement, Dutch strike on two bells above, alarm mounted to the right side of the movement; two large brass weights; pendulum; crank key; door key
