A Chinese blue and white 'kraak porselein' dish and a set of three 'Hatcher cargo kraak porselein klapmuts' bowls
Late-mid 16th 17th Century
The dish decorated to the central panel with two birds hovering above two deer in a landscape, the high well and rim moulded and painted with lappet-shaped panels of peach, peony and Symbols, alternated with smaller panels of jewels, 30.5 cm. diam., restored; and a set of three bowls painted to the inner roundel with a flower-head, surrounded by four panels of flowers underneath taotie-masks at the rim, 10 cm. diam.
