Members of the Anti-Gallican Society, formed in London in 1745, sent a number of orders to China, primarily for punchbowls, but also for mugs and services. According to D.S. Howard, op. cit, vol. I, p. 418, the Society was re-formed in 1757, inspiring the production of further porcelain with its arms.
