Enamelled to one side with a blackamoor crest above the gilt initials E.B.M. and the motto EXTREMIS USQUE PRIORES, probably for Moore, the reverse with a scantily clad Venus in a sea chariot, the rim with ribbon-tied vases and garlands alternating with panels of trellis and diaper, the handle as an open-mouthed dragon
