Decorated overall with brass studs, the domed lid enclosing an interior lined with marbled paper, the front with two crowns above 'GR', the sides with carrying handles, on a later mahogany stand with cabriole legs, the underside of the lid with printed label 'Smith & Lucas/Coffer and Plate-case makers to his majesty his royal highness', the metalwork apparently original
