The rectangular tilt-top above a turned baluster shaft, on tripod stand terminating in pad feet

Lot Essay

This type of tripod table is typically Swedish and was produced in the 1780s and for the following fifty years. A table signed by Lars Eric Lindell (active Køping 1818-1843) is illustrated in H. Groth, Neoclassicism in the North, London, 1990, p. 213, fig. 55, and a related table signed by Jacob Sjølin (active Køping & Kungsør, 1767-85) is illustrated ibid., p. 211, fig. 41.
