Lot Essay

A nearly identical pair of walnut and iron low tables using 18th century walnut from a Florentine monastery, designed by Axel Vervoordt, was sold by Axel Vervoordt, Kasteel van 's-Gravenwezel, Antwerp, Christie's house sale, 10-12 May 2004, lot 668 (Euro 10,157.50).
