The composition recalls that of the ceiling of Apollo and the Four Seasons, painted for Mr. Pieter van de Poll, Herengracht 440, Amsterdam in 1750 and still in situ (A. Staring, op.cit., p.81. no.9, fig.69) for which there is a preliminary study in the Fondation Custodia, Paris.
