Lot Essay

The sitters were children of Simon du Buisson and Anna Jacoba Brungné from Middelburg. Isaac became lawyer in that city and married Johanna Susanne Becius; Johanna Elisabeth married Hendrik Becius in 1737 and again Melchior van Goens in 1781.
The artist is apparently unrecorded.
