THE PROPERTY OF THE LATE MRS. J.H.M. STARING - DE MOL VAN OTTERLOO
The following eight lots were acquired by the Dutch art historian Adolph Staring (1890-1980) and his recently deceased wife after their marriage in 1928. They took up residence at the family seat of De Wildenborch castle, near Vorden in the province of Gelderland. The collection reflected their interest in Dutch 18th century art, which Adolph Staring researched and described extensively. Amongst his publications were De Hollanders Thuis of 1956, and Jacob de Wit, published in 1958.
