The case surmounted by the figure of a seated classical lady, the D-shaped sides modelled in relief with floral garlands and surmounted by ormolu vases (formerly with floral bouquets), with star mounts to the sides of the base and front relief panel cast with anthemions and acanthus besides two ho-ho birds drinking from a fountain, on four milled ormolu feet, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic quarters and signed V.La Froix/à Paris, ormolu hands, the twin barrels movement with anchor escapement and silk suspension, with countwheel strike on bell; pendulum, key
