An unusual Edwardian silver minute-repeating eight day travel timepiece

The engine-turned silver case with plain vacant panel to its top, silver-gilt interior with hall marks for Alfred Clark (AC), London 1910, also with registration stamp REGD. 520342, the case opening to form an easel support with silver-gilt frame to white enamel Roman dial inscribed MINUTE REPEATER/8 DAYS, blued steel hands, the Swiss single barrel pocket watch type movement with 'onion' winding crown, gilt-frosted plates and bimetallic lever balance, minute-repeating on two steel gongs via lever to the side, the case numbered 166934; with original red leather travel case, its silk interior gilt inscribed Clark/33 New Bond Street
