The case trunk with simple 'ears' and moulding above the chisel foot base with lower access door to the pendulum, cast brass bezel with integral lock, the 14 in. diameter engraved and silvered Roman and Arabic dial signed Leroux Charing Cross, cut steel hands with counter balance to the minute, the single line and fusee movement with tapered plates, four ringed pillars and anchor escapement, the front plate stamped J.THWAITES and numbered 2750; pendulum with shaped brass rod, winding key, case key
