Decorated in typical enamels and gilt on underglaze blue, each vase with alternating panels of floral arrangements and pavilions in a garden, beneath a band of hanabishi, leafy scrolls and peony flowerheads, the covers similarily decorated with a lotus bud finial painted with a profusion of leafy peony
