The rider with right hand raised, wearing a long-sleeved tunic over pantaloons flaring out against his boots, the red painted cap framing the face and covering the neck, the face finely detailed with amused expression, the saddle and saddle blanket crisply moulded, the horse with arched neck and cropped mane, traces of red, black and white pigment
