Lot Essay

William Parrott worked as a topographical painter and watercolourist, regularly exhibiting at the Royal Academy, the British Institution and Suffolk Street. The present watercolour demonstrates his technical ability in the execution of the architecture, as well as his understanding of the medium of watercolour.
