"The 2000 Costa Russi, for me, is no better than the Barbaresco, despite its intense nose and the larger impact of the oak. Intense and sustained, its fruit is a bit less fresh than the 2001 (or the 1999 version of this same wine) and the important concentration of the finish could use a bit more flesh and sweetness.
