An Arita blue and white circular silver-mounted tureen and cover,
the porcelain late 17th Century, the mounts Germany, late 19th Century
Painted in underglaze blue with flowering chrysanthemum, lotus, iris and cherry blossom, with silver foot mount, foliate-pierced upper rim and two scrolling foliate and berry handles, the similarly decorated domed cover with conforming silver rim and with an upper mount and finial decorated with fluting, tassels and stylized foliage (cover with repaired crack)
