An Imari condiment set,
circa 1700
Comprising four pear-shaped ewers with handles, three with covers, spout and roundels painted the initials "A", "O", "S" identifying their contents ("Azijn","Olie", "Soya"), the vessels placed within circular raised rims arranged round a hollow stem on a circular stand with flat upturned rim, painted in underglaze blue, iron-red and gilt with various floral designs (one cover missing, one cracked and repaired, chips)
