The Figures represent the King, the Duke of Wellington and Sir Robert Peel. They are copied from a set of six of the King and his advisors, which originally included His Mistress, as figures in a coach line, etched by 'Paul Pry', or William Heath (British Museum Satires, 15732-4). Presumably this was issued with the approval of Thomas McLean, who published the originals.

There may be a handkerchief of the King alone, for he, the King, appears with such a handkerchief in his pocket in another satirical etching 'Mr George King, Paris Overseer', issued a few weeks later (British Museum, Satires, 15785).
