The Mother of God represented in a variation of the popular Vladimirskaya, rendered traditionally, the faces sensitively depicted with shades of brown, olive and red, the garments executed with sombre colours, brightened up by the golden striations of the hems, with an elaborate brass oklad, the name and inscription plaques raised, the rim of the cut-out halo and the border with chased alternate buds and leaves decoration
