A PAIR OF SOUTH EUROPEAN SIMULATED MARBLE AND PARCEL-GILT CONSOLES AND MIRRORS
Late 19th 20th Century
Each with an arched mirror within a moulded foliate surround with inverted breakfront and dentil cornice with stiff leaf, egg-and-dart and acanthus motifs, above a palmette-filled panel, the consoles with rectangular tops decorated with foliate monopodiae, the plain frieze with conforming carving above fluted legs headed by rosette blocks, some mouldings missing.
The consoles 39 in. (99.5 cm.) high; 41 in. (104 cm.) wide; 27½ in. (69 cm.) deep
The mirrors 76¾ in. (195 cm.) high; 45 in. (114 cm.) wide (2)
