A composite three-piece Russian and German silver teaservice
The first, maker's mark probably of Iwan Semenowitsch Gubkin, 1845, the second, maker's mark indistinct, Moscow, 1845, both also struck with assaymaster's mark fo Andreyj Antonowitsch Kowalskij, the third, Germany, maker's mark a bunch of grapes (untraced)j, circa 1890, also struck with retailer's mark of O. Hintze
Each on a circular domed foot decorated with lobes, the lobed bodies of the teapot and milk jug further enhanced with fluting, each with wood scroll handle and applied C-scroll and foliate rim, the milk jug and sugar basin further engraved with shields containing coats of arms, teapot and sugar basin with flower finials
