Hira-zukuri, iori-mune with a deep curve and forged in itame hada, the tempered edge gunome-midare in nie with ashi and tobi-yaki, both sides carved with bo-hi, the tang ubu with one hole and kiri file marks, one-piece gold habaki, 11in. (27.9cm.) long, in shirasaya
Koshirae comprising a black-lacquer ishime-ji saya with silver kojiri and fitted with a shakudo nanako-ji kozuka with oxen in shakudo and gold, tsuka wrapped in leather and fitted with copper ishime-ji fuchi-gashira decorated with plum branches in shakudo and gold, shakudo and gold menuki formed as cicada, gilt-copper tsuba carved with butterflies and peonies in ke-bori (2)
