An Archaistic Animalier Marble Water Dropper
Choson period (early 20th century)
Carved in the form of a frog in archaic style, the legs and bulging eyes indicated in high relief, the details of the eyes and mouth incised and the small aperture on the back encircled by three concentric incised rings, the center of the horizontal mouth line drilled with a tiny hole to serve as the spout, a large oval hole to be plugged carved in the flat base; additionally carved on the head with svastika emblem and on the neck with the Chinese characters for "day," "wealth" and "month"
