Edwin Henry Boddington (1836-c.1905) was the son of London landscape painter Henry John Boddington (1811-1865) and exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1854 and 1856. Edwin Henry Boddington was best known for his depictions of river landscapes along the Thames. The handling and palate in the example offered here are typical of his ouevre.
