Carved in relief with a continuous scene of two scholars seated in a boat under an awning with two attendants, the one in the bow fanning the fire under a wine pot, while the boatman in the stern poles the vessel through the choppy waters of the river, with rocks and trees in the background, above a slightly rounded band of petal lappets, with a band of key fret on the flat rim, the interior in black lacquer and the base in brown lacquer
