LATE MING/QING DYNASTY, 16TH-18TH CENTURY
One an oval plaque, 17th/18th century, finely carved in high relief and pierced with a scaly dragon pursuing a flaming pearl amidst a dense tangle of lotus meander; the other a rectangular plaque with rounded end, late Ming dynasty, 16th-first half 17th century, carved with a writhing dragon reserved against a recessed ground of dense pierced trellis pattern, the reverse matte and pierced with small holes for attachment to a leather belt
