QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The compressed body of the censer raised on three truncated conical supports and well carved in low relief with entwined archaistic bird motifs separated by shou-character flanges, with a pair of taotie-mask handles suspending loose rings, the cover with similar bands of conjoined dragons below a circular handle surmounted by a coiled dragon, the stone of mottled spinach-green color; the pierced white jade stand well carved as three ruyi heads projecting from a central flowerhead flanked by leaves
