Both plaques from a jade book, one probably an end plaque carved on one side with a front-facing five-clawed dragon leaping amidst clouds in pursuit of a flaming pearl above waves crashing against a rocky peak, the other carved on both sides with calligraphy, all of the carving highlighted in gilding in contrast to the soft moss-green color of the stone
