2 volumes, 8o (206 x 129 mm). Half-titles. 28 plates by R. Seymour, R. Buss, Hablot K. Browne ["Phiz"] and others (some spotting). (Lightly browned, one or two pale stains, some pages trimmed.) Publisher's black (volume one) and blue (volume two) diced cloth, covers decorated in blind, spines lettered in gilt, uncut (corners rubbed, inner hinges of volume two split); half purple morocco gilt slipcases. Provenance: Kenyon Starling (bookplates).

FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM. Originally published in monthly parts. "The Tuggs's at Ramsgate" appears pp. 1-18 and "A Little Talk about Spring and Sweeps" pp. 113 - 119, both under the name "Boz".
