3 volumes, 12o (200 x 122 mm). 4-page integral publisher's advertisement at end volume one, 2 pages at beginning volume 3. Etched frontispiece in each volume and 21 plates after George Cruikshank (publisher's imprints trimmed from some plates, one or two spots, a few plates browned, "The Jew... " lightly tipped-in to face p. 106 rather than p. 205 volume 3). (One or two spots and occasional browning.) Original brown horizontal fine-ribbed cloth, covers decorated with fine arabesques, spine blind-ruled in five compartments, gilt-lettered in two, yellow endpapers, uncut [Carter binding variant A] (a bit cocked, one or two pale stains); cloth folding box.
