The uncut midnight-blue silk ground woven with a pair of horsehoof-shaped cuffs, a collar and a lapel, all with dragons in gold-wrapped thread in pursuit of flaming pearls amidst clouds above a band of wind-tossed waves

These robe facings are a 19th century revival of 18th century facings for a dragon robe.
