18TH/19TH CENTURY
Of arched rectangular form with indented corners and probably made of wood, the top covered with silk gauze finely embroidered in counted stitch technique with gold shou characters contained within stylized flowers reserved on a ground of fine gold-wrapped thread, within a key-fret border, the sides and underside covered in cerulean blue silk, underside with gilt-bronze button and rectangular loop stamped with a maker's mark
