The highly decorated coat finely embroidered in satin stitch with roundels and scattered flower and fruit sprigs as well as butterflies, the roundels on the chest, back and back of the sleeves depict figures in garden settings, while those on the shoulders and above the hem depict different birds amidst flowers, including a pair of mandarin ducks, with further birds on the ivory satin sleeve bands, the ivory satin borders and 'cloud collar' decorated with further figures in gardens
