The first a double-sided manuscript depicting a scene from the Devi Mahatmya on one side in which Durga is battling demons, and a scene from the Nala Dayamanti on the other, in which an old woman gives advice to a bride while her friends help her dress, with sketches of female heads and Shiva in the margins; the second an illustration the Ramayana, in which Ram and Lakshman are seated at center, with Hanuman at left and his brother Sujriv seated with the princes, surrounded by monkeys, most named by inscription
