A FRENCH PORCELAIN RECTANGULAR EQUESTRIAN PLAQUE
CIRCA 1800, THE REVERSE FAINTLY INSCRIBED No 18, ALMOST CERTAINLY SEVRES, ATTRIBUTED TO SWEBACH
Almost certainly painted by Swebach, with a saddled grey mare standing beside a black dog, her rider resting on the grass nearby and wearing a pale-blue jacket, yellow breeches and riding boots, holding a bottle and turned towards a lady and child walking among trees, before distant rolling fields and hills (some flaking and retouching to enamels on bushes, trees and grass), in a modern giltwood frame
